Male Factor Infertility

Male Factor Infertility

Male factor infertility  accounts for up to 40% of all fertility problems a couple may experience.

Unlike women, men are constantly producing sex cells. While a woman is born with all the eggs she’ll ever have, men produce sperm on a continual basis. And therefore, what a man does on a daily basis can affect sperm quality.

Smoking, drinking, drugs, stress, poor nutrition, and lack of exercise all can contribute to poor sperm quality. Plus, a man’s sperm health and sperm quality begins to decline around the age of 25. However, improving your sperm health is possible with Chinese medicine.

How do we define sperm health and sperm quality?

There are five main factors that contribute to overall sperm quality:

  • sperm count
  • sperm motility (how well the sperm can move)
  • sperm speed
  • sperm concentration
  • sperm morphology (shape and size)

A weakness in any of these areas can affect the chances of conception. On average, sperm require approximately 74 days to mature and up to 20 additional days to become capable of fertilization. Therefore, improvements in sperm quality with Chinese Medicine will happen gradually over time.

FACT:  Most men diagnosed with infertility or subfertilty are offered medical treatments that create dangerous (and sometimes irreversible) side effects

How Chinese Medicine Can Help

Chinese Medicine works to naturally boost the man’s reproductive health by reducing stress, improving blood flow and supporting key nutritional and energetic balance.

This typically results in:

  • Increased  sperm count and concentration
  • Improved sperm motility
  • Improved sperm morphology
  • Reversed poor liquefaction
  • Ensures a high % of sperm vitality
  • Improved semen viscosity
  • Increased semen volume
  • Improved erection quality and frequency

All leading to a higher chance of successful fertilization and pregnancy.
